Welcome to Easingwold Beavers, Cubs and Scouts

1st Easingwold (Forest of Galtres) Scout Group is one of the best-equipped and most ambitious groups in the area - as well as being one of the oldest.

We have our own four-acre campsite and activity area and a modern town-centre Scout hut. Together they provide enviable facilities for our Beaver, Cub and Scout Leaders to offer an exciting and adventurous programme for young people - boys and girls - from the age of six to 14.

The Dawney Eagles Explorer unit, based at the Easingwold Outdoor Centre, caters for 14 to 18 year olds.

1st Easingwold Scout Group celebrated its centenary in 2010 with a visit from Chief Scout Bear Grylls, who dropped in to our camp by helicopter. Full details of his visit are on the Groups' unique history website.
